Beach

The sovereign is meant to be the king of the beach, is it true?
Across the web you will find tons of testimonies from people that are stunned by the performances of this machine on the beaches, and specially on the salty wet sand beaches, where the other metal detectors just can't go.
What about me?
I've been buying this machine based on those testimonies, to replace a Teknetics Delta 4000. The Teknetics wasn't a bad machine at all, but it had tons of false signals when approaching the salty wet sand.
The sovereign, with the tornado 10" coil, is very stable. Whereas I was digging lots of iron with the other detectors (including my tesoro cibola, bought later), I will dig on less trash with the sovereign. the special tones can even tell me when it is a bottle cap or a pulltab! (I can recognise them 90% of the time).
The sovereign is deep, very deep, I already found a 2€ coin around 40cm! You will ear a little sound, like a coin, dig, dig again and end up with a huge hole and a piece of coke can!
The iron mask works perfectly and, despite some comments about the too important lenght of the mask, it works well on polluted areas.
It happened to me that I began to hunt a area, then met a guy with a detector telling me he hard already cleaned the area, and still found coins and jewelry his detector left behind!
The tornadado coil is waterproof and can go in the water without problem, and some people are waterproofing the engine so they can even hunt underwater! (http://my-sovereign.blogspot.com/p/sovereign-underwater.html)
Overall I would say that once you tried to hunt on a beach with the sovereign, you can't go back to another machine.
Hip mounted, it's a light weight and you can swing it for hours.

I will make some videos of my hunts, so you can see what i am talking about.
