My Sovereign

I am the proud owner of a Minelab Sovereign GT :

I have two coils :

- 10" Tornado
- 10" x 5" Little Joey DD (not on the picture)

I have two sandscoops :

- The metallic one was made by a friend of mine, out of a shovel. It works fine but is a little bulky so I only take it when I go detecting in the wet sand.
- The white one was made by myself, very simply, out of a plastic tank. Works fine, costed nothing and is very light.

I have an amplifier :

I tested it only once so I cannot tell if it is worth it for now. A clue : it's a second hand one I bought from a very (I mean very) experienced guy... So I believe that if it was worth it he would have kept it.

I have basic headphones :

They are very cheap, but they work perfectly!!!

I hip-mounted my Sovereign :

As I didn't want to invest too much money in a chest / hip mount, I did it myself. I took my Sov control box with me and went in a supermarket, where I found this for something like 12€ :

So I bought it, made a little hole to allow the connection and it was done :

I had no problem with it ever since, it is water resistant (not waterproof) and it has a very usefull little pocket on the front.
I let you explore the web to calculate how much I money saved by doing this little thing myself instead of buying the official one! ;-)
